statement: 1.12.12

One of my main areas of interest is the human condition, full of desires, needs, and outside influences. Through photography and sculpture I address our corporeal nature and its intersection with the intellect; as well as, the breakthrough potential for human transformation and growth.   I believe art spans the territory between the inner and exterior influences.  Through my art, I have strived to provide a trigger to advance awareness and development through a discourse of human action and emotion.  In this way, I think of my work in terms of being a human activist.  This opens the space for social activism, environmentalism and a new mode for action through changing oneself.
