| My piece containment - image was used in postcards and large banners to promote the world environment expo. I was also awarded funds to produce the work to the 104" X 64" size which was exhibited at the entrance to the exhibit. Keynote speakers at this event were Al Gore, Darryl Hannah and Julia 'Butterfly' Hill. A word to all you out there.... do not be shy. I was standing in the crowd around my piece while Darryl Hannah and Al Gore were holding a press conference, then afterward people were getting there pictures taken with them and my work. At the time I was shying away from the spotlight and the promotional circus atmosphere, so never stepped up and got my picture with them... I was happy that my work was front and center. Looking back, I now believe it to be ok to get a little light spilled upon you the person, and not just the work. |
